BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq (AP) – The airplane is the size of a jet fighter, powered by a turboprop engine, able to fly at 300 mph and reach 50,000 feet. It’s outfitted with infrared, laser and radar targeting, and with a ton and a half of guided bombs and missiles.

The Reaper is loaded, but there’s no one on board. Its pilot, as it bombs targets in Iraq, will sit at a video console 7,000 miles away in Nevada.

The troops will be doing a lot of clean up action. I love it. They didn’t say exactly when they would be put in use, but they plan on using them in Iraq. I bet they are there now. If you were granted the power to change 3 things in our Government, what would they be?

1. I would make term limits mandatory. 2 terms of 4 yrs each for Pres., Senate and House. I would also make all Court appointments a one time, 10 yr term limit, no more jobs for life.

2. I would eliminate more than half the Cabinet positions and cut the total employment positions in half. They are excessive and expensive and need to be trimmed.

3. I would change the Tax code to 10% flat rate and mandate Government to live inside that budget. The Federal government is to maintain our National Security and infrastructure. I think with that limited amount of responsibility, they may have a chance to do something right for a change.

I am anxious to hear other opinions.

We all know that Al Gore refuses to debate anyone who disagrees with his theory on the causes of Global Warming. Well now we will find out if he is willing to back up his nonsense with some cash. I am betting that he will not.

But now, Scott Armstrong, a Wharton Marketing professor, wants Al Gore to put his money where his mouth is.

Armstrong has challenged the former vice president to a 10-year bet, in which $10,000 from the two would be set aside in escrow as Gore pits his forecast of how much global temperature will increase during that time against a so-called “naive model,” in which temperature would be expected to stay the same.

The winner would get to donate the $20,000 and accumulated interest to the charity of his choice.

Al Gore has plenty of money so there really is no reason to not take the bet, other than he will be made to look like a bigger fool than he already is, if that is possible. I just doubt that he will, to do so would bring too much publicity to the opposing side of the argument. One thing liberals cannot stand is to see an opposing viewpoint reach the public. Look at how that hate talk radio and Fox News.

Not only does this do nothing Congress and George Bush want to ram this immigration bill down our throat now it turns out that they want to give Social Security benefits to the illegals as well.

Backers of the so-called “grand compromise” immigration bill claim illegal workers would not be able to obtain Social Security benefits under the plan. However, the TREA Senior Citizens League (TSCL) argues that is untrue. Group spokesman Brad Phillips says illegal aliens who gained something called a “non-work” Social Security number — which entitled them to only things like food stamps or Medicare — prior to 2004, would be able to receive Social Security benefits if the bill passes.

“We’ve done some numbers on this and we found that, in total, that would allow more than two-million workers to receive approximately $966 billion in Social Security benefits between now and the year 2040,” Phillips explains. “That’s an important year because that’s about when the Social Security trustees estimate that Social Security will go bankrupt,” he notes.

Remember the Democrats fixed Social Security? I guess the fix is to make it to 2040 and then figure out what to do next. But I digress.

Why are we trying to give money to illegals who came here and broke the law? Why do we think that we have to support every person who gets hopped up on Red Bull and scurries across the border?

No wonder this Congress is at 14% approval rating. I am surprised it is that high.

With Michael Moore’s “documentary” Sicko (actually propaganda film) soon to be released and the 2008 election campaigning already underway I am sure the Health Care debate will heat up. For those that are in support of turning over our Heath Care to the government I have a few questions that I would like answered before I will support this idea.

1. What is it that the government does so well that you think they can handle taking control of our health care system? Is it the great job the our government hs done with Social Security? Maybe it is our wonderful education system that graduates illiterate children. Maybe it is the USPS and their efficient ability to deliver the mail at a fair price? Maybe it is the Government health care that we already have for a Veterans. Maybe it is the quick and efficient lines at your local DMV that gives you the confidence that the government can handle it. Please let me know if it is one of the above or if you have other examples.
2. How can we implement Socialized Medicine and not turn our health care into the same failure that Canada, France or the U.K. has? What makes our government so superior that you feel confident despite all the world failures that we can pull it off?
3. How is it that removing the insurance companies and adding a government bureaucrat will be an improvement?
4. How much will the free health care cost us as taxpayers?
5. Will all hospitals be like county hospitals now with long waits and chaos?
6. How will the loss of competition effect our health care system?

Also, before we do something so drastic as to change to socialized medicine why do we not try to fix some of our current problems that we have now? For example, if we did not have to pay for the 12 million illegal immigrants health care now how much better would our system be? What does it cost us now to support illegals. I read that over half of all babies born at Ben Taub hospital in Houston are Anchor Babies. These are children born in America with illegal aliens as parents that will typically never pay for their medical bills. We will not go into how much it costs to educate said baby.

So until I get some answers that can convince me that this is a good idea it will take a lot more than Moore’s propaganda to change my mind.

 BUT not for conservative talk radio! Where in the heck are our saviors the ACLU!??  How come they stand up for freedom of speech all the time, but now that our OH SO GREAT “leaders” want to silence the Conservatives we don’t hear a pep!   Turns out Clinton and Boxer have big plans in the works to silence the side that does not agree with them!  WOW sounds a little like our friend down in Venezuela!

   Our senators are taking a page from a socialist dictator like Chavez??  YIKES and this is one of the democratic hopefuls in the ’08 election!!!  That is a little scary if you ask me!  The Socialist Party is up and running under the title democrat!  AND YOU CANT ARGUE that!  So next we will be like Canada and socialize out heath care! 

 AMERICA WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Our leaders are taking us DOWN!  AND trying to do it fast!  We need to stand up and remind out leaders this is the land of the FREE!  Hell I can go out and burn all the flags I want, but God forbid I listen to Rush or Hannity! Well they have done it.  The Democrat controlled Congress has sunk below Bush’s approval ratings and also set an all time low.

Just 14% of Americans have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in Congress.

This 14% Congressional confidence rating is the all-time low for this measure, which Gallup initiated in 1973.  The previous low point for Congress was 18% at several points in the period of time 1991 to 1994.

I am sure the Democrats are baffled by this news, how can their ratings have sunken so low when that have done such a good job of renaming buildings and, well rename some more buildings?

Actually I am sure that it is because they have actually done very little if anything meaningful since they have taken over control of Congress.  The constantly bash the military saying that we cannot win this war and we need to pull out.  Well fortunately for us the military does not believe the Democrats and the American people do not belive them either when it comes to or military.

By way of contrast, 69% of Americans have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in the military, which tops the list.

And lastly I think the immigration fiasco is hurting their numbers just like it is hurting Bush’s as well.  The only people who support this immigration bill seems to be the idiots in D.C. and the ultra liberals.  Well, I would assume the illegals probably support it as well.

Well I guess I will post a few blogs that have been on a few other websites i have written on! First one is on Amnesty when our great “leaders” took it upon themselves to pass stupid crap!

 

Amnesty! Is that what America gives people who break our laws?

Our Great Senators just drafted up a bill that will do just that, even though they claim this is not an amnesty bill! BUT how is it not when we are throwing a wide spread net saying OK WE GIVE UP! If you follow these steps you can hop to the front of the line and become a citizen (which very few will). So with this bill all illegal get basic immunity once the bill passes, they get protected alien status! So why the hell would they go and report, go back home for a period of time and pay a $5000 fine!? They won’t! They will reside here under the protected alien status and work, continue to benefit from the medical care schooling and everything else our tax dollars pay for!

“The bill would establish a merit-based, temporary guest worker visa program for new immigrants, while eliminating the backlog of legal immigrant applications and legalizing the status of undocumented workers currently in the country. “

Do what?” An undocumented worker” would be an illegal worker correct? So if I go rob a bank, can I claim it was just an “unauthorized withdraw”?

With this new bill, how many illegal do you think are going to FLOOD to America in hopes that they can get in before this passes?? Right now there are 12 million (or so they say) illegal immigrants in the country. If this bill is on the floor for debate for the rest of the year the immigrants will flock in by the thousands every month! No telling how many terrorist will come on over in hopes they too can become citizens, and end up hurting us from the inside!

This is also a SLAP in the face of every immigrant that came here and filled out the necessary paperwork and WAITED to become a citizen, which take several years! Now the folks that come here illegally hop to the front of the line? America sometimes makes no sense! Lets build a freaking WALL that can actually keep folks out and just have them apply for work permits, visas, and citizenship??????

Welcome to cunnilingus our newest and first official blogger (besides myself) to the Fight Global Nonsense blog. I will not really tell you much about him but instead let you find out for yourself. It should be interesting though as he is an interesting guy, to say the least.

Still not entirely sure where all of this is headed but I am thinking I may try to recruit a couple of more bloggers and see what kind of blog we can build.
